Overview

OCT is a non-contact scan that uses harmless light waves to produce a cross-section of the retina at 5-micron resolution. It is the single most powerful tool in medical retina practice.

Diagnosis

OCT is performed in under 5 minutes without dye or pain. Dilation is preferred for a wider view.
